What can you do?
Write to or phone your local MP. This is a powerful weapon in a democratic process. Your MP is sensitive to voter sentiment. Email us if you need contact details.
Write letters to your local paper expressing your opposition to these proposals. Public opinion is shaped by these letters. Be honest, articulate and sensible.
Express your opposition with signage in your local community. You will see some appropriate slogans in some of the pictures featuring KASM actions.
Understand and get engaged with the RMA process, and make submissions to the resource consent applications that will ensue. The first few will be the most critical as they will set the agenda.
Network with all the other individuals and groups of affected parties to form a strong coalition.
